Online registration in Christian Youth Theater is available up to the day before classes begin in each area. If you wish to register on the first day of class, you must do so at the class site. To register after that, please call the CYT office. Registrations after the second class will be discounted by $20.00.

Children of all levels of ability are welcome in CYT classes. No previous performance experience is required. We welcome children with disabilities or learning differences. If your child has a special need, please indicate by filling in details in the space provided on the registration form.

Multiple students can be registered per online application. All registrations must be paid in full before they can be processed; students will be placed on a waiting list until payment is made. Online debit or credit card payments can be made at time of registration, or at a later time. There is no additional fee for online payments!

Any family that enrolls more than one child in CYT will receive $10 off the second, $20 off the third, and $30 off the forth and up child.

Requirements & Restrictions

All published staff, dates, times and locations are subject to change.

Students must meet age requirements by the first class day of the session.

Since some classes fill quickly, be sure to indicate a second choice.

Students need to fill out and bring Authorization Form to first class.

Students need to read CYT Behaviorial Guidelines before attending class.

Students need to dress according to CYT Dress Code at all CYT functions.

There is a $25.00 service charge for cancellations.

No Refunds will be given after the first class.
Students who audition for a production are NOT eligible for a refund.

Confirmation information will be emailed to you unless we are specifically requested to mail it.
Payment can be made online, by mail or in person.

Finding nemo/Dory

Set sail on an Our Gang sea adventure!  Learn about theater in a multi-senory environment which includes movement, music, drama, and art.  Students will develop confidence as they conquer the stage.  Enjoy the music and scripts of Finding Nemo and Finding Dory as students discover the theater world.



Beginning Tap!

Ages 8-12

Instructor: Jessica Thomas

Drip, drip, drop!  Tip, Tip, Tap!  Hear the beat of those dancing feet by learning how to tap dance!  In this class you will be taught all the fundamental tap steps.  Try out different tap combinations and get the rhythm down in your toes.  Tap Shoes requested by not required. 


Advanced Dance: Ages 10-12

Splish, Splash, let the waves role!  This advanced dance class will challenge your older Act 1 students in their dance abilities.  Boost up your Ballet--Jazz up your Jazz step--make your Hip Hop happen!


Music Theater:

This Class is Full

Disney's new animated feature film Moana is the foundation for our music theater class.  Join Moana on her ocean adventure to save the people of her island.  Be inspired by the great music and dance.  Study the characters and scenes and be a part of the class's own script about an adventure to save their CYT Island.

Ages 8-12

Instructor: Oliver Figueroa

Stage left?  Stage Right?  Upstage? Downstage? Where in the world do you want me to go? Articulate?  Enunciate?  What in the world do you want me to do?  Do you have these questions?  This class is "all things drama" and will set your acting on a course for success while playing some great games and learning to follow a script!



Step, Stomp & Act

Ages 8-12

Instructor: Kaili Potter

Step, clap, stomp, move, and act!  This class is great for reinforcing beat and rhythm with body percussion routines.  Students will then step out of the box with buckets and drum sticks.  Finally put all your moves together with some great advanced acting and drama games to round out this fun, active, and moving class!

This class is full for girls
Whether you think you have all the right moves or need some new ones, put your knowledge and skills to the test as you learn new dance steps.  From start to finish, this class will keep your mind and body active as you build and strengthen your technique and overall appreciation for dance.  Only those who have not had a Jacob House class (not counting Winter 2016) will be registered.   8 guys and 8 girls

Is it ballet?  Is it jazz?  Is it modern?  Yes! It's a combination of them all!  Come learn this expressive form of dance that allows dancers to be inspired by the music and inspire others by their dance.

New to the stage?  Need to get your feet wet? Learn the basics of drama and acting in this exciting and energizing course!  From theater history to improv, this class is designed to give you a basic foundation of the world of drama.

Sailing without a compass is like acting without a script?  That's Improv!  This class teaches basic improvisational skills as well as perfecting students' abilities to think on their feet! Students will learn how to create a scene, character, and conflict in a matter of seconds as they master the rules of improvisational acting.

Make a splash: Combat

This is going to be a two-part knockout class! First learn the various methods of stage fighting and combat.  Students will work on falls, rolls, tumbles and reactions to different situations. Discover how to channel energy into performing stunts while being safe.  Second, students will work on developing the characters behind the stunts.



Pirates of Penzance

Ages 13-18

Instructor: Angela Loganbill

The Pirates of Penzance is a comic opera with an ingenious, clever, and wonderfully funny libretto. Join this class in a high sea adventure into sight-singing, opera singing, and growing vocally as you sing the music of this famous musical.



A Capella

Ages 13-18

Instructor: Paul Smith

Join this exciting Mixed Voice class for some voice training, vocal style education, and learning of some amazing A capella music by Thomas Tallis and Franz Biebl.   A great opportunity to sing the US Army Chorus A Capella version of Bridge Over Troubled Water that will bring music to your soul and sweet sounding chords to your ears!
