Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. The dazzling score features well known standards including Blue Skies, I Love A Piano, How Deep Is the Ocean and the perennial favorite, White Christmas. WHITE CHRISTMAS is an uplifting musical worthy of year-round productions.
Because of limited roles, those ages 8 - 11 who are cast may only be on stage for two large group scenes.
From her earliest memories Linda has been dancing, singing, acting, and organizing her way through family living room Christmas programs. She continues to enjoy this wild passion as it has flourished through the years. Her professional training in the arts and a degree in Elementary Education has allowed her to pursue her love of music and theater by teaching vocal music and performing nationally in both secular and Christian venues. After raising four children with her husband Tim, Linda received God’s invitation to open a CYT in Wichita. It has been an adventure that has surpassed her wildest dreams! She considers it a blessing to watch God bring joy, strengthen character, and create a new awareness of His power through the avenues of music and theater.
White Christmas is Doug's fourth show with CYT. Doug taught high school choral music for over 30 years in the Wichita and Hutchinson school districts. He received his Bachelors in Music Education and Masters in Church and Choral Music from Friends University. During college, he was active in Music Theatre of Wichita. Doug keeps busy with his 13 – year old son, Paul, who is active in CYT and is a 7th grader at Central Christian Academy. Doug and Paul attend Newspring Church.
