Camp Description

Can you imagine diving into the world of Mary Poppins and creating your own unique story of childlike wonder, and imagination? Join us for this upbeat camp featuring songs, dances, and characters from the new feature film, Mary Poppins Returns! Camp showcase will include favorites such as "Can You Imagine That?", "A Cover Is Not the Book", "Place Where the Lost Things Go", and "Trip A Little Light Fantastic". The camp cost includes all meals (Lunch on M, T, W, Th, F / Dinner on T & F / Breakfast on W), price for lodging on Tuesday overnight, T-shirt, and admission to workshops and masterclasses by area Music Theatre professionals!

Additional Information:
  • Students will stay overnight in the dorms on Tuesday, July 30.
  • Masterclasses and Workshops will be offered on Wednesday, July 31.
  • Lunches everyday is included in cost.
  • Dinners on Tuesday and Friday are included in cost.
  • Breakfast on Wednesday is included in cost.
  • On Friday, August 2nd, students will remain at camp until after the Showcase.


Angela Loganbill

Angela grew up performing music theatre in her hometown of Pratt, KS and continued that love for musical theatre on into her college years. Angela earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Friends University, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Wichita State University. While at Friends University, Angela studied voice with Ann Marie Miller and Dr. Paul Smith, performed solos, and actively participated in Singing Quakers, Concert Choir, Opera Workshop, Music Theatre,and Student Government Association. She also spent a summer singing Opera overseas with Opera Classica Europa. Angela is active in the Wichita community as a member of the Wichita Chamber Chorale and a past member of the Wichita Symphony Chorus.She most recently has taught vocal music at Andale High School, and currently owns her own private voice and piano studio. Angela has been teaching classes, directing summer camps, and music directing shows for CYT Wichita for the past six years, she is excited to take on this new role as the Classes and Camps Coordinator for CYT Wichita.


Lisa Paine

Lisa has been at CYT Wichita since 2009, performing in the first show, “Robin Hood.” In 2011, she began college at Friends University and graduated in 2016 with degrees in English Literature and Theatre. While studying at college, she assistant directed, directed, wrote a one-act, and performed in multiple shows. Her journey with CYT began as a student, but has since included roles such as stage manager and assistant director. She had the opportunity to be the director for the 2015 “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown,” and 2018’s production of, “Annie.” Directing “Annie” was a particularly special experience as she portrayed “Ms Hannigan” in 2011 as her senior show with CYT. Recently returning from spending 3 months at a missions and leadership school in England, Lisa is excited to rejoin the CYT community and continue sharing her love of acting and directing with the kids. Lisa has also worked with the at-risk youth community in Wichita through Legacy Ministries leading summer camps that promote worth and identity in Christ through the arts. She is honored to have the opportunity to work with the students to tell a story that will impact and influence both them and the surrounding community. In everything she does, she wants to bring the love that Jesus has for us all. To God be the Glory, great things he has done.


Caroline Whiteside

Caroline Whiteside is a Wichita native who has grown up participating in CYT Wichita. She has been blessed with opportunities to choreograph for Andale High School, Douglass High School, Andover Central High School, CYT Wichita Summer Camps, and CYT Wichita Enrollment Shows. Caroline was also an assistant to the director for CYT’s 2016-2017 Winter Show, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. She studied at Butler Community College and graduated with an associate degree in Secondary Education and was on vocal scholarship where she participated in Headliners and was one of their choreographers. Caroline is excited to deepen her relationship with the students of CYT and to help them grow in their love for the theatre!
