Amy Shelden

A 2017 graduate of Friends University, Amy is excited to be working for CYT for a second year! She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Arts Leadership and Management from WSU, acting and singing locally, and serving as a development consultant for CYT. Her favorite recent theatrical roles include Molly in Peter and the Starcatcher, Penny in You Can’t Take It with You, and Rosie Alvarez in Bye Bye Birdie. Along with performing, Amy has directing, teaching, and stage management experience. Last year at CYT, she served as the Intern Director for White Christmas and as the Assistant Director for Hello, Dolly! and taught acting classes. This season, she is excited to assistant direct My Fair Lady, to teach, and to help out with other needs. One of her favorite Bible verses is Ephesians 5:1 - "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us..." Soli Deo Gloria!
